About Me

Cloud networking and infrastructure product leader who served as lead PM for Sovereign Fabric / Fabric Geo Zones, a network-level multicloud sovereignty capability designed to help enterprises control where traffic flows across jurisdictions.

As lead PM for Sovereign Fabric / Fabric Geo Zones, I helped deliver a capability that supports jurisdiction-aware traffic controls across interconnected clouds and providers. Equinix describes the product as giving enterprises more control over data sovereignty across hybrid multicloud environments, with traffic following compliant paths or being blocked when a compliant path is not available.

Over 30+ years, I've learned that great products start with deep customer understanding. My journey began providing field technical support for banking systems, learning how mission-critical infrastructure must perform under pressure. That experience shaped how I approach every product decision: from designing IBM ServicePac, to scaling IBM Direct Link, to launching Equinix Fabric Cloud Router and delivering cloud networking capabilities for sovereignty, compliance, and AI infrastructure.

Currently driving cloud networking innovation at Equinix as Principal Product Manager, with recent AI product development certifications from MIT and Maven shaping my approach to next-generation cloud and AI infrastructure services.

What Drives Me

Customer obsession: Every product starts with deep customer understanding. Team building: Mentored dozens of product managers who progressed to leadership roles. Strategic thinking: Positioned organizations early for emerging opportunities. Execution excellence: Consistent delivery of growth targets at scale.

Career Evolution

Phase 1: Field Operations & Service Excellence (1988–2000)

8 years field technical support building customer empathy and operational excellence. 4 years project management learning to scale operations into products. Key achievement: IBM ServicePac—first bundled service offering, still used across IBM today.

Phase 2: Product Management & Portfolio Leadership (2000–2015)

10 years managing support portfolio growing to $77M revenue with 16% YoY growth. Mentored dozens of product managers, many advancing to director/senior roles. 1 year launching emerging Linux support market. 2.5 years leading organizational transformation at Huawei across US, Europe, and China.

Phase 3: Strategic Product Leadership (2015–Present)

5 years managing $133M IBM Direct Link portfolio at 32.7% YoY growth. 5+ years at Equinix leading cloud networking capabilities across Fabric Cloud Router, VPN Gateway, and Sovereign Fabric / Fabric Geo Zones. Key achievement: Fabric Cloud Router validated a software-native platform model, followed by network-level sovereignty capabilities for regulated hybrid multicloud.

Current Focus

I'm focused on cloud networking capabilities that help enterprises control where traffic flows, not just where workloads are deployed. My recent work on Sovereign Fabric / Fabric Geo Zones addresses data sovereignty, data-in-transit governance, jurisdictional routing, and compliant network paths for regulated hybrid multicloud and distributed AI workloads.
